NEW HOPE, PA

November 7, 2009.  Arriving at the railroad with perfect timing, I heard the whistle as the train approached the station.

Preparing for the next trip, the engine is uncoupled and switched to the water tower to top off it's tender and for some oiling of engine bearings.

After routine maintenance, the engine is again switched back and attached to the cars for the next trip.

Maintenance completed, passengers aboard and the next trip commences.

Every time I visit the railroad, I have lunch at the Triumph Brewery, which is across the tracks from the New Hope and Ivyland Station.  In the warm months, the Triumph has outdoor tables, putting you right next to the tracks to enjoy the live action.
