At the site of the Cornucopia Dinner Cruise Line with it's modern cruise boat is a vintage Paddlewheel Boat. Driving north onto the Rt 35 bridge one can see the paddlewheel boat off to the right. After the bridge, I turned right at the first traffic light and followed signs to the Cornucopia Dinner Cruise.
I followed the entrance pier and found workers moving drywall onto the boat.
The Casino St Charles continues to be refurbished. Lots of activity going on inside with drywall being put up all over. I stopped by the office (inside the paddlewheel boat) and was informed that the boat should be completed by summer 2011 and will be a hotel and restaurant. It seems that this paddlewheel boat once ran out of St Louis, MO. It now resides in Perth Amboy and will eventually become a first class hotel and restaurant.
Looking aft, during the November 2009 construction phase, one can see the route 35 bridge, and further into the background, the Garden State Parkway bridge, over the Raritan River.
