November 27, 2009. Tim McLoone once again put on a splendid concert with his Holiday Express on Broad Street in Red Bank. The instrumental music and all the singers were great and the crowds were large. (this event used to be called Red Bank tree lighting, but the tree is a block away).
Tim invited BethAnne Clayton as a special guest vocalist this year. BethAnne is most talented and entertaining musician.
Everyone was surprised when BethAnne introduced her son Paul Thomas who sang a song titled "I Love Santa Claus" which is his first single on Anne's latest CD. The crowd loved Paul. Paul started Tim's band with a count-off that sounding like he was one of the "Blues Brothers".
Another crowd pleaser, the Grinch, made his annual appearance.
Finally the main attraction as Santa and Mrs. Claus joined the Holiday Express stage.
Mayor Pasquale Menna and his wife made a brief appearance and Mayor Menna made a few holiday remarks that were well received.
At one point, Tim got everyone to count down and then all the town lights came on. It was very nice. Afterwards, Paddy and I walked down to the Dublin House on Monmouth Street for a photo at the Red Bank Town Christmas Tree.
Another wonderful event in Red Bank. Tim McLoone's holiday express put smiles on everyone's face with his most entertaining music.
