July 21, 2010. The weather was nice so Paddy and I thought we would re-visit Asbury Park because we had a nice time there early in June.
Walking the boardwalk we came upon a "water park" type of activity. When the light hit the water a certain way I was reminded of "beam me up Scotty" from Star trek.
THE BOARDS restaurant had a nice outdoor setting, so we gave it a try. The very pretty hostess gave us a nice table and our equally pretty server, Jillian, provided excellent service, always with a big bright smile.
After an excellent dinner, we walked the boardwalk and checked out some of the shops.
Hearing some nice music was stopped at Sam SIMS and listened for a while. A nice sound indeed.
The sun was no longer overhead, but folks were still at the beach or playing volley ball or just strolling the boardwalk in the nice weather.
We found Psychic Readings by Sabrina and later as we were leaving, we found her again on Ocean Avenue.
Nothing can compare to a pretty girl to draw attention to a clothing shop. The STYLE ROCKET sure had a winner with this young lady.
Further north we found McLoone's doing a fine dinner business.
There were fireworks scheduled for after dark and the Patrons at the BEACH BAR were already in place at 8 PM.
We entered the Convention HALL area and found an entertaining street musician. We also noticed that the CONCIERGE booth had the right people, with their bright smiling faces.
Another excellent visit to Asbury Park. We will do it again soon.
