October 24, 2010. Red Bank, NJ held its annual parade in a warm, 70 degree sunny day.
I took a few photos at the line up on Bergen Street prior to the start of the parade.
The start of the parade was ushered in by Red Bank's own Atlantic Watch pipes and drums band followed by many engines of the Red Bank Fire Department.
The parade had many age groups from tots to adults.
The Red Bank Charter School put on a fantastic float that everyone enjoyed.
We checked out a few non-parade things and when the parade ended, Paddy and I had a late lunch at the Dublin House on Monmouth Street.
After lunch, we came upon a pretty young lady setting up a 4 X 5 film camera. This camera was the previous workhorse of industry, until digital photography allowed photographers to quickly send photos over the internet and satellites. The young lady is a photography student at Bard College in New York State. Today she is shooting ASA 400 black and white film.
Another interesting and enjoyable day in Red Bank.
