December 21, 2010 in Middletown, New Jersey. It was historic. When the moon was bright my shutter speed was 1/1000 of a second and I could use autofocus. During the full eclipse I had to reduce the shutter to 1/2 second and put everything on manual including focus. I also had to do a serious amount of cropping to get a useable shot.
