January 29, 2011.  Paddy and I revisited Winter Fest with a secondary agenda to have lunch with Paddy's friend who lives in New Hope.

The parade started by the New Hope and Ivyland railroad tracks around 12:15 PM.

In a few minutes the great mummers sound of the Uptown String Band was heard.  They added a familiar flavor to the parade.

There were a variety of floats and marchers today.

I offered Paddy the option of relaxing inside Dunkin Donuts, with an excellent view of the parade, or joining me outside in the cold while I take photos.  She chose the DD option !

As we walked toward the bridge over the Delaware River, to meet our luncheon guest in Lambertville, we came across George Washington and Martha.

Once inside the Lambertville Station Restaurant, we met the man on stilts and then our guest, Anne, arrived.  Anne and Paddy retired from same NJ high school years ago.

Outside the restaurant, were two talented ice carvers.  I recognized one of them and sure enough they were the same guys who put on a spectacular Ice show at Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ.

Years ago, when Paddy and I first visited the New Hope - Lambertville Winter Festival, there were three string bands and several youth bands.  While this years' parade was a little smaller, it was still very nice.
