April 24, 2011.  A tradition that started in 1935, the 76th annual Easter Parade was a success in bright sunshine on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

The parade was scheduled for 1 PM and early arrivals were on hand for photos.

This couple constructed this interesting vehicle as a kind of "magic carpet" and it was an attention getter.

Many boardwalk businesses were open and this group took advantage of the peddle yourself "limo".

Hmmmm, the big dog with bunny ears pulled two little dogs in the basket.... cute.

When the Easter Bunny arrived, the kids gave a loud cheer.  There were lots of people waiting for the parade.

At 1 PM, the parade started and the participants made two loops around the boardwalk cones so everyone could get a good look.  The parade had 6 judging categories: girls, boys, women, men, families and Easter Bonnets.

At the conclusion of the parade, all marchers and many spectators relaxed in the Paramount Theater for the results of the voting and the awarding of trophies and Easter baskets for the winners.
