September 16, 2011. At 18th and Ocean Avenue were a number of structures and tents in support of pro surfing. There were judges manning the public address system to notify the public as well as the surfers what times were left on the event. As one event closed, another group of surfers were in the water positioning themselves for the start of their event.
Talent, strength and energy displayed by the surfers were in evidence to all the spectators on the beach.
A most interesting sport to observe.
