September 8, 2012.  When I arrived at Maple Cove around 2 PM the light rain had stopped and the sun came out.  It was my first time at this event, that was located at the bottom of Maple Street a couple of hundred feet west of the Red Bank Library.  There were several vendors present and one can see the library building in the background.

While I arrived by automobile, others came via bicycle.

Before heading into the water, the participants viewed the many paddleboards, kayaks and shells that were available for demo today.

Soon, everyone was cued up to get their turn at paddling.

I met a fellow photographer and she asked me to take a photo of her friend, but I caught her off guard.  No problem, she had a great sense of humor.

I said hello to one of the event organizers as she helped carry her kayak to the water.

This nice lady give out cold water, which was a great relief in the heat.

Once in the water, everyone was having fun.

For those not paddling, they were at the shore watching their relatives and friends who were in the water.
