February 16, 2013. A photography friend of mine showed me a Facebook ad about this car show and I thought it would be good to check it out. Upon entering the building at 618 Summerfield Ave I was greeting by these two well cared for vintage Fords.
The gentleman, on the right, fired up his 40 HP hot rod and it sounded very smooth. He said that next year he was going to replace the 40 HP motor with the 100 HP motor that was sitting on the floor. He races the hot rod on the beach in a special race at the Jersey Shore sponsored by the Oilers Car Club.
There were some very fine automobiles on display today.
It was an interesting car show. The club members definitely enjoy their club building and are planning many car events in the future.
