June 16, 2013. I wanted to check out the 19th annual Cruise to the Jersey Shore car show. We heard it was near Rooney's, so Paddy and I planned on having lunch there. To our surprise, cars were in front of Rooney's and extended north and south, on the promenade, as far as the eye could see.
Rooney's had an extensive outdoor area and all tables were full. Because the weather was great there was a waiting line for outdoors, but we got immediate seating indoors.
Because of a back injury, I was only able to walk a block north and then a block south to see the cars.
And, car shows bring out interesting spectators.
Back pain cut short my visit, I only saw about 10 percent of the cars. It was a huge car show and I look forward to next year.
