February 18, 2017. People were horrified and deeply saddened by the events of December 14, 2012 when teachers and children were murdered at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. To memorialize the children and teachers, many playgrounds were built in CT, NJ and NY. In NJ there are playgrounds in Sea Bright, Union Beach, Asbury Park, Manasquan, Long Beach Island and Ocean City.
