US ARMY BRIGADIER GENERAL WILLIAM C DOYLE

VETERANS MEMORIAL CEMETERY

March 27, 2018.  On another 'drive to no-where' Paddy and I were on the back roads near Wrightstown, NJ when we saw this official looking sign, so we turned around to gave it a closer read.  We drove in and were amazed at the huge size of this cemetery, that we had never even heard about.

Later, we found another entrance at the other side of the cemetery, with a more informational monument.

Inside we saw the reference to the "New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery", but it seem to us the most of the references were to the BG Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Our first stop was at the chapel building, which was near this Medal of Honor monument.

The Chapel.

The Chapel.

On the internet there are numerous photos of the endless rows of graves, with American Flags, so I thought I would limit my photography to the large monuments that are sparse on the internet.

Spread throughout the cemetery were numerous Columbariums, labeled alphabetically, which are a public storage area for Urns.

This cemetery is the first NJ state operated veterans' cemetery dedicated as a lasting memorial to those men and women who gave their lives for our country.
