BACON-BIKES & BREWS

AT ALLAIRE STATE PARK, NJ

(SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL PHOTOS)

June 24, 2018.  This was our first attendance at this annual event.  It was a nice weather day, warm, bright and clear.

After paying our $10 per person admission we stopped briefly at the Blacksmith Shop.

Outside the Blacksmith Shop was a stand for those who like to take selfies.  Many did.

In the same area was this vintage motorcycle, an icon for things to come.

We arrived at the park hungry so we took a quick tour of the 20 food trucks and decided on this one.  Their bacon wrapped hot dogs were delicious.  After the first serving we went back for round two.

While relaxing in the cool shaded area with tables, this re-enactor came by representing the 1800's.

The lady explained that she made this outfit with the pattern and design of the 1800's.  She worked 80 hours on this creation.   Great talent.

A short walk to the nearby vintage motorcycles.  This Indian motorcycle was built in 1938 and the owner was proud to explain the history of this vintage bike.  It was in real good shape.

This 1965 BSA motorcycle was used by a NJ racer and was in many races between 1965 and into the 1970's.

Sometime after 2PM we heard this great music and found out that it was JOHNNY B & THE BLUE BLAZERS.   A number of park visitors brought lawn chairs and were listening to the band.

I was looking for motocycle club "colors", but this was the only one in the area.  Since it was late Sunday afternoon, I guessed that many more clubs were represented yesterday, Saturday.

With the 20 food trucks, there was a large variety of tasty things to eat.

This event was fun and the weather was excellent making it a great Sunday afternoon.
