HISTORIC HOUSE

HIGHTSTOWN, NJ

(SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL PHOTOS)

August 4, 2019.  On another one of our random trips, Paddy and I again ran across the famous Historic House in Hightstown.  It looked different so I parked the car and took some photos.

It looked great and was obviously under renovation.

There was a lot of attention to detail and it was beautiful.

Heading back to my car I crossed the street and saw this gentleman relaxing on a park bench and I marveled at the amazing house.  To my great surprise, he was the owner.  Like a dummy, I didn't get his name.  I looked around the internet and came up with Daniel Buriak (I hope the internet was right for a change).  Daniel was taking a much needed break after painting all day; bare feet and a cold beer.  I told Daniel how impressed I was with his home and we discussed some interesting aspects of his renovation project.  I told Daniel I would be back when his project was completed (proposed date is sometime before January 2020).

After touring the nearby towns, Paddy and I returned to Hightstown for some night photos.

A most beautiful and interesting home and a most pleasant visit with Daniel.
