October 18, 2020. I had to search for healthy leaves this year because of the warm weather. Some trees were bare, others were full but dried out and some were still green.
Starting the tour in Colts Neck, NJ.
Then on to Holmdel NJ. Holmdel Park had some of the best foliage.
Part two of the tour to check out fall flowers and pumpkins, Paddy and I went to Brock Farms in Colts Neck, NJ.
Every year Brock has an artist paint the small pumpkins that people enjoy as decorations.
I never heard of yellow pumpkins, so I had to take a photo.
I never heard of these either, so another photo.
Several years ago Brock had a large barn filled with these Halloween decorations. Last year they downsized to a large room in another building. This year they had a few Halloween items but apparently they went out of favor with customers.
Another favorite stop for fall is Casola Farms in Colts Neck, NJ. They were busier this year than ever, both parking lots were full and the overflow parking was nearly full. Casola has everything one could think of for Halloween: pumpkins, flowers, fresh apple pies, skeletons, two eating places, a wine tasking area and many tables to sit down and eat.
Two different places to eat and each one had a waiting line.
There were plenty of places to sit down, relax and eat.
As with Brock Farms, the Halloween scary stuff was sparse and not as popular as in past years.
