HOLMDEL PARK IN THE WINTER

HOLMDEL, NJ

February 8, 2021.  Temperatures remained below freezing and fortunately the snow stayed around for days.

One of the most popular winter activities in Monmouth County is sleigh riding in Holmdel Park.

On weekends the sledding hill is lit up until 9PM.

On the trail, I found lots of lost gloves and hats.

At another part of the park the trees were picturesque.

Went back 5 days later to get some night shots (feb 13).  There was a light steady rain when

I left the house, so I wasn't expecting anyone on the hill.  It stopping raining when I arrived.

This building was closed because of the Chinese Virus.  When open it had a large open fireplace

to warm up after the sleigh ride.

As expected, the area was lit up.

To cover the large area, the park had several emergency generators.

As expected, because of the rain, I didn't see anyone on the hill.

Ever vigilant, the Park Ranger was on duty.

When there is no rain, this parking lot would be packed with adults and kids enjoying

the sledding hill.
