This very popular, annual, three day, free, musical event in Red Bank, NJ on the shores of the Navesink river is on everyone's calendar.

Some visitors head straight to the festival, many stop first on Broad street to enjoy one of the many fine outdoor downtown restaurants, including: Via 45, Ashes, The Bistro, Murphys and the River Edge Cafe to mention just a few.

If you attend on Saturday, broad street also has many performing street musicians as part of the "STREETLIFE" activity.

At the north end of broad street is the entrance to the festival.  Music from the Marina stage can be heard and seating in folding chairs is first come first served.  The main stage show accommodated the headliners which, in the past, included the internationally known Dave "Fathead" Newman and the NJ wide Jazz Lobsters.

Of course no festival would be complete without food and it was plentiful.

Good music and girl watching , a nice way to enjoy the day.

There are three music stages at the park and the one depicted here is the BackBeat Stage.  At different times one can hear student bands and lesser known jazz and blues groups.  The music has been top notch and very enjoyable.

The third stage, called the Riverfront Stage, provides yet another musical opportunity and the nice part is that physical location of all three stages makes for a non-interference area for listeners.

Popular was face and temporary body painting venues.

For those who enjoy arts and crafts, there four long isles for displayed wares.

Interesting people make walking around a fun event.

Visitors arrived via various modes of transportation.  Those that arrived by boat, had ring side seats to the music and the convenience of on board food and drink.

Without a doubt, it is a most enjoyable three day event.
