July 23, 2008. The bright, shiny racing cars caught our eye first.
Wow, kids as young as 5 years old are into racing. These little cars can go 40 MPH.
Mr. Caruso was showing off his daughter's racing car. She is now 24 years old, been racing for about 8 years, and runs this car at 100 MPH on dirt tracks !
Many different classes of racing shown at the fair.
Very entertaining music all around the fair.
The fire fighter competition was interesting. The fireman were on their truck when an official blew a horn. At that point they raced to the center of the field, set up a ladder and a hose and then hit the target with water. The time for this whole exercise was 17 seconds !
Pig races ? Of course they had pig races. When the gate opened the pigs jumped into a pool and swam to the other end, after exiting they returned to the starting gate for a treat.
Food, clowns, kids rides, tractors, 4-H awards, agriculture exhibits, it was all there.
