July 13, 2011. Great weather in Belmar, lots of folks out looking and making sand art. The annual contest was sponsored by D'Jais Bar & Grill. The media was on hand to interview the owner of D'Jais.
Artists at work.
Photographers everywhere. For those who keep score, the photographer in the blue and white was a Nikon shooter.
Most of the artists, when they took time to look up, enjoyed having their picture taken.
Lots of young ladies at the contest, adding to the enjoyment of the event.
I couldn't help but notice that both of these females had yellow bikinis, yet one looked different. It must have been the blonde hair....
Some passed the time sunbathing, others were texting, and one young lad was buried by his buddies. He looked like he had an itch that he couldn't scratch. In the last photo, I observed that the man on the bike was NOT giving the police the bird......
D'Jais had an entertainment tent. There were many dance contests and prizes were given out.
Work completed, the final works of art on display.
Another splendid day at the Jersey Shore.
